Mardi Gras Parade | February 25 | 5 pm | 19th St to New Parish RSVP to the FB Event Boomshake is honored to join MJ's Brass Boppers and other groups in a Mardi Gras Parade next Tuesday. This will be our 4th year supporting this beautiful celebration of New Orleans culture and tradition, led by MJ, a native New  Orleanian and snare drummer.  Call time is 5 pm. The short parade will start at 6 pm at 19th St and Rashida Muhammed Path, and end on San Pablo Ave at New Parish.  Let us know if you're coming and if you need a drum, by emailing boomshakemusic@gmail.com Children and youth are welcome with their adult (no drop-offs). We'd love to have an intergenerational group! Drumluck: A Community Gathering Celebrating our Cultural Heritage

Hosted and facilitated by participants from various BoomShake program classes, family, friends and community will sing, chant, move, drum, and eat together guided by stories of our dreams, ancestral traditions, and childhood memories. Bring a dish to share that reflects or reinterprets your ancestors' food, and bring instruments if you have them! Be ready to make rhythm and move in celebration.
