Our communities continue to face state violence, deportations, race, gender and sexuality based violence and discrimination, housing insecurity, and environmental destruction, all while we hustle to take care of ourselves, our families, and our communities. There were many days where we felt terror, fear, and despair, when we didn't know what to do, how to heal, how to make things better. And despite this, we kept going. With only 6 days until showtime, we're building coral and ships, singing water medleys, assembling a river of costumes, and mixing up a stew of rhythms for this year's drumsical. What started out as a small show has grown and flourished into a weekend long production with 90 participants, 8 artists, a production crew team, costume team and so much love.
