Inspired by the book "The Streets are Free" based on the true story of the children of the barrio of San Jose de la Urbina in Caracas, Venezuela. Although the mayor promises the children a playground, they realize that they must build it themselves. And they do just that.
Join us for this showcase and party! BoomShake participants and Guest Artists will use storytelling, drumming, and singing to explore how we as a inter-generational community can work to uplift, preserve and sustain ourselves.
